Argon back-purging is necessary for the welding of highly reactive metals such as Stainless Steel and Titanium to protect the rear side of the weld from oxidation. These bungs provide a convenient means of sealing off tubing and allowing a brass fitting and hose with argon gas to be passed through the workpiece.

Recommend a High Temperature, 2-part Silicone such as mould casting silicone for low temperature metals. Use a plastic syringe for filling into the tapered fill port for best results, ensure all bubbles are evacuated from the small vent hole.
